Admission policies, in the school's words
The Admissions Committee has considered the impact of COVID-19 on applicants’ information. The committee will exercise flexibility in reviewing courses, healthcare activities, and community service activities taken between June 2020 and June 2022 and consider that some of these activities were necessarily virtual and/or diminished in amount. This should not be construed as an allowance for insufficient quantities of activities. Applicants are always expected to have sufficient health care experience to allow the Admissions Committee to evaluate their interest and commitment to a career in medicine and sufficient community service experience to allow evaluate their compassion, altruism, and emotional intelligence. Medical School Pre-Requisites must be completed in-person. However, online/virtual exceptions may be considered by contacting Mr. Fernando Vasquez, Assistant Dean of MD Admissions.
