Sources and method

What this is. A re-publication, in searchable form, of facts that medical schools report about themselves, joined across sources and labeled with where each value came from and when it was retrieved. It is not a ranking, a prediction or advice.

Where the data comes from. Most fields come from the AAMC's free "Medical School Admission Requirements (MSAR) Reports for Applicants and Advisors", PDF tables the AAMC publishes for the 2027 entering class with "information provided directly by individual medical schools". The yes/no/case-by-case flags in those PDFs are icons; this site classifies each icon and prints its legend word. Accreditation comes from the LCME directory. Class statistics, Casper and PREview statements come from each school's own admissions pages, with the page linked on the profile. DO colleges come from AACOM and the colleges' sites; Texas programs from TMDSAS and the schools.

How to read a cell. "Yes", "No" and "Case-by-case" are the school's reported policy for that course or applicant type. "Varies by course" means the school answered differently for different prerequisite courses; open the profile to see which. "Not stated" means the source has no entry, which is not the same as "no". Interview tags (MMI, virtual, in person) are derived from the school's own description by keyword and should be read alongside the text.

Limits. Schools update policies during a cycle; the AAMC republishes its reports periodically; this site snapshots them on the date shown. Where two published lists disagree (Casper requirements are the usual case), the profile shows both rather than choosing. Before you act on a prerequisite, deadline or test requirement, check the school's page, which is linked from every section.

Licence and independence. AAMC reports may be reproduced and distributed with attribution for individual, educational and noncommercial purposes; the data pages here are free, carry no advertising and require no account. This site is independent of the AAMC, AACOM, TMDSAS and every school; "MSAR" is a trademark of the AAMC.
